Area of Practice
James Britton is a Detroit native and a graduate of Martin Luther King High School. He attended Morehouse College, where he graduated cum laude in May, 2003, and Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, Mr. Britton served as President of both the Student Bar Association Board of Governors and the Black Law Students Association [BLSA]. He also competed in Moot Court, serving as a member of Wayne’s National Moot Court Team.
While in law school, Mr. Britton also interned for United States District Judge Denise Page Hood and clerked on the legal staff of the United Auto Workers International Union in Detroit. He joined Sachs Waldman as an Associate Attorney in September, 2007. Mr. Britton’s growing practice focuses on the representation of both individual employees and labor organizations, as well as other tax exempt organizations. He is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
