Gregory M. Janks was born in Detroit in 1951. He graduated high school in 1969 from Harper Woods Notre Dame. He received his BA degree, with a psychology major, from Oakland University in Rochester, MI in 1973. Greg obtained his JD from Detroit College of Law in 1977 and has practiced plaintiffs personal injury law ever since at Sachs Waldman, Professional Corporation. He is a partner and director at the firm.

Greg handles various types of Michigan personal injury cases, including product liablity, construction site accidents, motor vehicle crash cases, dramshop liability, premises liability, nursing home liability, legal malpractice and various contract cases, including those for no-fault, disability and life benefits.

Greg sits as a case evaluator (formerly known as a 'mediator') for the Circuit Courts in Wayne and Oakland Counties. He is frequently chosen as a plaintiff's arbitrator. Greg is a member of American Trial Lawyers Association, Michigan Trial Lawyers Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. He has lectured at Michigan Trial Lawyers Association seminars and appeared on local television on the Due Process and Ask the Lawyer shows. Greg has been appointed an Associate Member of the Michigan State Bar Committee on Character & Fitness. The State Bar of Michigan has also appointed Greg to the Standing Committee on Ethics, Judicial and Professional.

Greg is admitted to practice in Michigan, as well as before the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Court of Appeals as well as the Eastern & Western Districts of the United States District Court and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.
