Ann Neydon became an attorney in 1974, the year the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) was enacted by Congress. She began representing employee benefit funds regulated by ERISA as Associate General Counsel for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, at the Union's International offices in New York City , where she worked from 1974 to 1976. In 1976, she returned to the Sachs Waldman firm in Detroit , where she had worked as a law clerk while in law school.

She and the other employee benefits attorneys at Sachs Waldman represent many Taft-Hartley building trades fringe benefit funds in Michigan, including the Detroit Bricklayers Funds, the Michigan Carpenters Pension Fund, the Detroit Cement Masons Funds, the Detroit, Battle Creek and Michigan Electrical Employees Funds, the Michigan Glass and Glazing Funds, the Detroit Laborers Funds, the Plasterers Local 67 Funds, the Flint Roofers Apprenticeship Fund, the Sheet Metal Workers Local 80 and Local 292 Funds, and the Michigan Trowel Trades Funds. Collecting delinquent fringe benefit contributions is a significant part of their practice, which also involves all aspects of fund representation.

Ms. Neydon is a graduate of Marygrove College (1968, B.A. in Political Science, History and English), the University of Michigan (1969, M.A. in Political Science and American Intellectual History) and Wayne State University Law School.
