Construction Accident Litigation
Construction accident litigation involves injuries that occur
on any type of construction project or construction site,
whether residential, commercial or industrial. The term "construction"
is defined broadly and includes any type of work involving
demolition, excavation, grading, erection, maintenance, remodeling,
renovation, repair or any other type of work done by the building
trades and/or construction workers.
In construction accident litigation, the owner, construction
managers, general contractor and/or prime contractor are responsible
to provide all workers with a reasonably safe place to work.
Additional duties may be imposed by the Michigan Occupational
Safety and Health Act (MIOSHA), Local Building Codes, as well
as the Association of General Contractors (A.G.C.) and American
Institute of Architects (AIA) contract documents.
Construction projects frequently involve multi-employer work
sites and complex contracts between the companies performing
the work. Because of this, we recommend that if you are involved
in a construction accident, that you allow us to review your
facts to determine the full extent of your legal rights and
remedies.
