Amy Bachelder joined the firm in 2008 after a long and distinguished career with the National Labor Relations Board. She worked for the Board for more than twenty-five years, starting in 1976 as a trial attorney and retiring in 2002 as Deputy Regional Attorney. During her tenure with the Board, Ms. Bachelder both litigated and supervised complex litigation, including the litigation growing out of the Detroit newspaper strike.
Ms. Bachelder is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. She distinguished herself while in law school, serving as an Editor of the Wayne Law Review and graduating magna cum laude. In addition to representing the firm’s labor clients in matters pending before the National Labor Relations Board and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, Ms. Bachelder’s practice includes collection work on behalf of employee benefit funds.
